A/C Compressor
My 95 Z28 compressor clutch smoked today...any online CHEAP source for a rebuilt one? All the shops here just want to sell new ones

Kragen (Schucks, Checker, depending on location), had reman compressors on sale this week, "starting at $109.00". I paid $148 /no core, for a 94 Ford unit.
Also try, rockauto.com
I had bad luck, years ago, with a "fly-by-night" mail-order, reman compressor. I swear it was a junk yard unit, with new paint.

Hey thanks for the info! Now it's got another problem...the computer will not let the comp turn on.
If I jump the relay it cools fine , pressures OK. I want to scan it but I cannot find an OBDI cable and scanner!!! Heard it may contain a AC trouble code?

Computer? or "low pressure switch"?
LPS is often mounted on/near the reciver-dryer. It has a 2 prong multiple connector, remove connector and jump the 2 terminals in the wire. If the comp runs, refregerant is too low. Check pressures w/ manifold set , diagnose leak and recharge.
Above is GENERAL info, and may require technichian assist.

Thanks, but I've done all of the above. The pressure switch measures both low and high (has 3 wires!), and I ohmed it out against my 96 and it was OK.
For some reason the PCM will not pull the compressor relay coil to ground. If I force it to turn on, it runs cold.
Maybe PCM code? This is an OBDI car
