Motor trend claims that the 37xx weight is for the v6, and that a v8 will be a 39xx car. 
That raises a slight problem. If a fourth gen is a 3400 pound car with 350 horsepower, and the fifth gen will be a 3900 pound car with 416 horsepower, that means... the fifth gen won't be noticeably faster than a ten year old Camaro.
