got a 95 TA.... had the door panels off and squirted a gallon of WD-40 in all the tracks like I have done with he Vett... but this does not work with the TA...
the window will go up a little, or down, about an inch if not pulled or pushed, and then its like a circuit breaker switches and no movement for about 20 sec, then another inch, and so forth and so on..... everything inside the door, like the tracks and wheels seem good?!?!? whats going on?
why will it go up 1" stop,,,,,,, you have to wait about 30-60sec, get another 1"?????? and so on??? and so on???/ and........
I think I was told that it gets hot? Anyway, once chaged, I had no more problems.
Passenger side would go up real slow.
On Driver Side, let's say I wanted to put window down a tad, then came back to it just a little later?....Nothing would happen when I hit the switch.
Minutes later?...it would work, fine, or just move a 'lil bit and then stop again.
My Current '01 Formula, with 32K miles needed a Driver side window motor last year as it got locked in the down position, and I had to pull it up by hand till repaired.
My Passenger side window also works slowly as of late (the past few months).
Is what it is,.... Weak.

well...since its going to be the my sons new race car... i'll just have him replace it... and i'll buy the part....
but after oiling it i can get it up after about 15min.... 2" at a time now!!!
Thx for the input... was hoping for something a little less time consuming,,,, looks like a 3 hour job...
In the last 8 years, my son has had a 95 Camaro t-top, a 96 Camaro RS convertible and a 99 Firebird t-top. We've replaced both power window motors in all 3 of them at least once (did the drivers side in the conv twice). I've had to replace the drivers side one in my daughters Cavalier Z24, also.
The power window motors GM used in these cars are junk. They're cheap, stamped steel units that are at best, border line for the job of lifting that large frameless door glass on the F-bodies. What your experiencing is pretty common with these cars, from my experience. I'd bet it's a motor.
