Default Optispark question

I have a 95 formula firebird and it needs a water pump. While I'm in there should I go ahead and replace the optispark, plugs and wires too, or should I just do the pump?

Default Opti spark

I would I was told whenever doing the water pump do both because your water pump has probably comprimised the optispark. Bad place to locate the distributor anywhere near a water pump. I had a 93 vette intermitten no start condition you guessed it OPTI SPARK was sprayed by leaking weep hole. 1600 later all was fixed and ran great.

Might as well. It's a crappy job on that car but since you'll have the pump out of the way & coolant drained.
Pull & flush the radiator & replace all the seals on the front cover.

Damn dude...no disrespect, but you got mugged!! The parts are around $500. for the pump and Optispark.... Ive done the job 3 different times on 3 different cars... its not that big of a deal really.

I would say without quesrion, do the opti, plugs and wires.

I would say without question, do the opti, plugs and wires.

If you're going to be going through the ordeal of the water pump and then bleeding the cooling system of air, might as well do it just once....
