Car has 160k, new OEM shocks, new drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads, SLP lid and exhaust, subframe connectors, and is a automatic. Car looks good, has new tires all around 245 upfront and 315 on the back. Paint is decent for a 12 year old car and the interior has one small tear on the drivers side, dash is not cracked either.
Flaws, has a rather hard 1-2nd shift, owner claims it's not a shift kit and has done it for the last year and half he's owned it. It also has a warm start issue, it cranks and will not start the first try but will start up almost always on the second try.
Price for the car? I plan on driving it but not making it a daily. Thanks.

With the mileage and trans issues I would value the car around 5k. Unless it is a 35th anniversary stripe package car then the value would increase some.
I just sold a 2001 SS (6 speed, loaded, t tops, SLP lid, STB, new Bilstiens, etc) and it had 35k miles on it. I got $10,300 out of it. I expected to get more for it, but that's the best offer I got.
Not even close. My 02 SS was faster than my 02 C5 stock for stock and was a lot more reliable.
Curious as to how your Camaro was faster than your Vette. Both LS1s (and despite the many claims, both make the same flywheel hp) - was one auto and the other manual? Vette should have had a small edge in weight and aero.

I still own my 1999 SS
I should clarify, it did depend on the type of race. Both M6, and you're absolutely right, same exact LS1.
In a typical stoplight race from a dig, the SS was typically a bit faster - the solid rear puts the power to the ground better and is much easier to launch (barring a disaster with the 10 bolt).
At freeway speeds the vette was a bit faster - the launch is obviously not a factor and the speeds were high enough for the aero advantage to manifest itself.
Either way it was very close, and the new V6 camaro can't hold the 4th gen F-body's jock. They were great cars for what they were designed for...a low 13 second car for the everyman at a time when that was supercar performance.

Thanks for clarifying! Complete agree and understand what you are saying.
