Default Engine fit

Will a 2004 Corvette LS1 fit in a 2000 Camaro SS? I know the mechanics are a little different like the alternator is on the top of the engine. Will the motor mounts line up, and Will the hood even close due to the alternator and engine cover? Thanks. I found a Corvette engine on EBay pretty reasonable.
