Every time I go out and look at the topic list and then see a reply to a post...I go in to it and there is nothing written there and then go back out and then go back in and there is the reply. This happens every time every time every time every time every time... it must be my meds or is some one else having the same grief ?

Have you tried refresh? Also there's a setting somewhere in the browser itself which has something to do with update automatically or something like that. At least in I-Exploder there's some such setting. I'd imagine Netscrape has something similar. ~Juliet

Yeah, refresh works.

For some reason, the list of topics is updated faster than the threads. After clicking on a topic, and finding the newest message isn't there, click on refresh, and it comes right up.

For the technically inclined - the reason that the UBB software works that way is that the topic lists are generated dynamically. They are always up to date. The threads pages are static html that gets updated when a new post is made. The reason that you don't always see the latest version of the thread is that your computer stores the old copy in a cache for performance reasons. The refresh updates that.
