c3 Vaccuum Manifolds
Does anyone know if the vaccuum control valves(Three per car on 68-72) can be rebuilt?
Does anyone know of anyone that does rebuild the vaccuum switches?
The repros are not that good and do not seem to last.
Finally, has anyone tried successfully to use the paint that trys to closely replicate the original gold irriditing process?

I had a feeling the paint was exactly... well paint.
The repros are similar to the originals but there are obvious differences.
Even the NOS pieces seem to be different than the units provided from the factory. The latter GM pieces are silver cad versus zinc dichromate.
I am torn between the repros and trying to paint mine.
I was hoping someone out there might have come up with a way to repair and/or disassemble them for proper restoration. It might even entail destroying one to restore another.
