Default George, Dump The 533, I Found Your Motor!

Dump the 533, cut up your Sonny Leonard credit card, I found the ultimate Big-Block for you:

V-20, 12,500hp twin-turbodiesel, even has pretty valve covers (20 of them!); will require slight modifications, as it's 18 feet long; good thing Cleveland is a seaport, as it only ships by boat. Brings a whole new meaning to the word "torque"; terrific crate motor - after you install it, you can live in the crate :smash:

8" bore, 10" stroke = 10,000+ cubic inches = 165 litres; new Mercedes/MTU diesel, made for ships and locomotives - you oughta see the clutch!

Ah, it's a mere light weight in the industrial engine bidness. Two cycle turbocharged natural gas engines with 8 or more inline cylinders having 20" bores and nearly thirty inch strokes are not unusual. Of course, a source for natural gas is hard to find on a ship. These engines idled about 600 rpm and operated continuously at a governed 1200 rpm when loaded; I never had the pleasure of determining the "Red Line". :D :D

Yeah, especially if they use full synthetic, a few bucks in that crank case
