C3 Right Side Mirror
The right side mirror was an option. To install one, you have to add the mounting plate inside teh door frame. It appears the only way to add this late is to cut into the metal framing on the inside of the door.
Once that is done, is it proper to glue the mounting plate into positon? and what to do about the cut in the door frame?

When I added the right side mirror on my 69, it came with two well nuts. All I had to do was locate the position, drill two holes for the well nuts, then mount the base with the supplied bolts. Attach the mirror to the plate just like on the drivers side. Been on there for several years with no problems. All done from the outside of the door. Maybe you have a different type of mirror though. GL

It was my understanding that a RH mirror was not an option, at least on 69's. I have one on my 69, really would like it gone, but not much I can do now, same with the aftermarket luggage rack. Later..............B

For the early 70's it was a dealer installed option. When you drill the holes in the door have the window up so the bit can not hit it.
Like said above the well nuts hold the base to the door.

Hey Rog .. on my car, there is not possibility of drilling through to the windowm as there is an enclosed channel that encapsulates the area where the mounting plate would rest
