Welcome Mr. Moderator. I enjoy Factory Correct Restoration, but it needs to be cleaned up. Too much palsy-walsy. Let's move things to Off Topic and keep this forum moving in the right direction.

Easy there, Easy Mike. Factory Correct Restorations is a unique site. It was created for my NCRS buds when the NCRS Discusion Board was flushed down the toilet. The format is the same as was on the NCRS board, a catch all, general discussion, tech help, and Off Topic items. Makes the transplanted folks feel right at home.

Some may wander to other forums within Corvetteforum, but most just stay here.

Easy Mike, you are beginning to sound like a "squacker" apostle.

Some of us that have been here since the beginning of FCR have put a lot of effort and personal conflict into our commitment to build a site that allows "freedom of speech". Technical questions are encouraged on FCR, but not to the exclusion of everything else of general interest; it was founded with that objective in mind, and in my opinion, nothing has changed to revise that principle.

Those interested in an FCR that considers ONLY mind-numbing technical discussion are encouraged to participate on the NCRS Technical Discussion Board. It is a technical discussion board in the PUREST sense: NOTHING else is allowed.

As others have noted before, you do not have to be an NCRS member to answer questions on that board.

Chuck:

I visited the NCRS Tech Board today out of sheer boredom. About half of it was off topic "drivel". I thought that was taboo, guess it depends on who is driveling. :D

Bryan, inability to decide what standards to maintain and/or the lack of commitment to maintain those standards represents character flaws in my opinion.

Yeah! So what's so hard to understand: All NCRS members are created equal; except some, (the BOD) are more equal than others...this is a fundamental principle of Orwellian democracy: don't do as I do, do as I SAY!

How come you are already a Junior Member with a star.

I'm beginning to develop an inferiority complex.

I thought it was only my wife that ignored me.

Evidently the NCRS BOD, in their infinite wisdom has created their own monster of sorts, a semi technical technical board....Damned if they do, Damned if they don't.

I am really enjoying the Factory Correct Resto forum as there is a wealth of technical information from a group of interested (and interesting) guys who don't take themselves too seriously. If we happen to stray off topic, big hairy deal. You'll pull the reins, right, George?

Well, that's a fella, or when more than one, we call them The Gang that Squacks, who, in all their infinite wisdom, squack. Ya know, "I don't like the tone that Chucky used" or just complaining about nuthin'. Unka Joe will give you first hand knowledge how to be a good squacker.

Some guys can't help themselves- talking when they should be listening :boxing , or just in love with the sound of their own voices :cry.

My theory is since it's easier to moan then take action, there will always be squackers.

George, we're still waiting for pics of the beastie...:chevy
