The GM Power window switches are about to be discontinued, when they are gone that's it. There is already a replacement on the market at half the price but quality is of equal proportion.
Get them before they are gone

May I add .... I replaced one window switch with a new one from the Last Detail. I think it was a GM part but not NOS... althought it did qualify for POS status.. It felt softer than the original and within a few weeks wouldn't work in one direction. I ended up repairing the old switch and tossed the "new" one as far as I could throw it. :jester
POS is right on target. The switches interior portion fits too loosely within the exterior bezel and they make poor electrical contact. Most of the problems can be resolved by applying upward pressure on the switches bottom but there is no way to do this with the switch mounted that I have ever found. Like you I pitched one, managed to get the second to work and used one original.
Why is GM so concerned regarding the quality of their "licensed" reproduction parts when their own are of such abysmal quality ?

That's not what #1 said. He said half the price and half the quality.
Sorry, but I took "quality is of equal proportion" to mean that the quality was of equal proportion to the quality of the original and not to mean quality is of equal porportion to the price of the replacement.
