Default Actuator cleaning advice
Advice needed. I have a '72 and its actuators have lost their luster. Any advice/suggestions for getting them back to its their original luster, or at least close to it without damaging it? Thanks - I know you guys will have an answer.

i couldnt get the luster back by cleaning myself. So i sent them to someone whom advertises in NCRS mag. Driveline and had them rebuild and replated

Mine were painted flat black a long time ago by Bubba. I masked the seals, shaft, studs and used paint stripper and the yellow chromate plating underneath was still very well preserved!
