Default '69 Wiper DOOR Assembly

HWhat is the best way to refinish the '69 Wiper DOOR Assembly.... it has all these little white plastic bushings and is all riveted together. I think powder coating is not the thing to do??? Should I just scuff it up and spray paint it? Looking for some good input - thanks

oh - factory correct is not really my goal - I figured you factory correct guys would have the most knowledge on this.

SEM Trim Black #39143 is the right sheen, and is quite durable.

Here's a pic, stolen from somebody here

This is the way it's supposed to look.

You can go from there.

What do you want to paint? Chuck

Hey Chuck - good to hear from you ..

I am more focused on the wiper lever system, the big black contraption.

Hmmm.

The big black contraption is just a plastic cover.

Aha!! You added "door".

The little bushings just pop out. You can replace them anyway.

I'd spray it semi flat black. Buy extra shouldered bolts to mount it.

You'll drop several into the abyss in the fender well trying to put it back on. Don't ask how I know this. Chuck
