Mark, I've used the Krylon Satin #7777 for the center gauge bezel, steering column, etc. It turned out well, in my opinion. Lay it on VERY lightly, just barely dusting on many light coats. I found that it likes to mottle if you spray it the least bit heavily.
I used the standard vinyl dye from Zip for my interior stuff, but not the seats. I wiped all the panels down very thoroughly with Prep-Sol and had no problems with adhesion.
There is a paint available from most of the Corvette shops called "Black Satin" specifically formulated to be sprayed over chrome and it works very well on door handles and consoles, the color and sheen are spot on in my opinion.
Al Knoch sells quarts of color correct dyes for all Corvettes and it is excellent.
