78 L48
I am replacing the OE engine, tranny and other parts in my 78 to bring it to more of a street rod style. Should I retain all the parts or it being a 78 anyone intersted in doing a factory resto wouldn't want to buy a car that had a lot of mods done to it? If it doesn't make since to keep them is there a market for these parts? thanks Tom

If nobody else wants to commit I will. A 30 yr old engine and tranny is not worth much at all and with so many low mile 78's out there who would want to spend time converting yours back to stock. Take the engine and practice rebuilding it and the Th350 may be you will learn something

My 78 has alum intake - holly carb-keisler 5 speed - in dash am/fm/cd/cassett - and hooker headers to mention a few changes. I have all the original parts that i removed (all in good shape) stored but will never use when i sell the car they will go with it.

Me too. GM create motor, Keisler 5 speed, but I have all the old "numbers matching" parts.
