Can someone post on here what a build sheet looks like? I have some old papers that were given to me by a man that worked on the assembly line in the St. Louis plant and I am curious to what they are.
Thanks guys. I guess these are some sort of shipping documents because they do not look like what you posted. The VIN numbers on these pages are for '81 model year cars. The page says where the car is being shipped to.
Try posting this on the NCRS board. Go to http://www.ncrs.org and follow the point and click to the discussion board. You might have some valuable documents. I'm sure many 81 owners would like to know their original selling dealership. Can you post a picture? Chuck
Sure do - that's the Broadcast Copy (or "build sheet", as many call it today); VERY valuable piece of documentation for the car - tells exactly when and how the car was built originally. Hang onto it!
Cool. Thanks. I have literally hundreds of these papers. I will go through them all and find out what years I have. Now, who can tell me how to sell them and what they are worth?
If they are all of that vintage they are not worth very much as these cars had copies stuck all over the cars. So there would not be many people looking for them. If they were of the mid-year or even shark variety, you have what everyone is looking for.

Looks like they are all of the last few thousand '81's to come from STL. I will keep looking through them though.
They could be valuable to some people. You can get copies of these for those built at Bowling Green from the NCM. But only Bowling Green cars, nothing from St Louis.
