Default C3 electrical problems

None of interior lights work except the on in the back storage compartment. My radio will randomly work. I have checked all fuses and they are fine. I think it is a ground problem because the two frame leads for grounds are just hanging off the frame and I do not know where they go to. If anyone can tell me where to ground everything to on the frame or maybe send me a diagram of the electrical system I would be very greatfull. I hate it because at night I can't see the spedo or the tack, and I can't cruise to tunes in the day!!! help!!!

First check to see that the entire fuse block is powered.
I found that one of the connections at the bulkhead was poor and I too had an intermittant power problem..
If I pushed on the fuse block everything worked again..
If that is the case for you, you can remove the connectors on the engine side of the firewall and clean the connections there..

Not sure what ground you refer to..
You can always check grounds by connecting a temp wire to a known good ground and then grounding any suspect device to see if it starts working..

Hope this helps

Tony

I trust your car is a 70??? if it is. pull the drivers side side grille out(in front of your door) . On the front body mount you will see one of the body grounds there(front side of the mount).

On the back of your cluster (tach- speedo) there is also a ground on both of those. look up under your dash on both sides of your column, black wire on the bottem back side of them. There is one more interior ground next to your astro vent( the chrome ball vent) on the drivers side that attaches to the A pillar (door hinge pillar) just behind the bottom of the cluster.

Are you checking the fuses with a test light? check both sides of the the fuses with the ignition and park lights on. The very bottom fuse is for you dash lights etc. it is the smallest one in the fuse box right at the bottom.

Those are off the top of my head. If I think of any more I will post them. Good luck, Ron
