Yeah, that was cool the way they memorialized the victims' names.
At the end, the projection screen with the names still on it collapsed onto the stage; a little symbolism for the WTC, the Pentagon, and the planes. And the fans waving the flag; America is alive and well, and looking for the bastiges.
I think we should have had more U2 and less football, but the Pats are looking pretty good right now. :D
Allen, clearly the Pats defense victimized the Rams offense and won the game for them. I didn't think there was any way their offense could win that game with only 1:30 left in the game from very poor field postion ...they hadn't been able to execute that consistently all night.
I hadn't figured on them executing just well enough to get their seige gun in range, and neither did Coach Madden. He was thinking OT, and he was outcoached by the Pats coach...regulation time was their best shot. :D :D
Forty-two years is long enough to wait...Congrats to the Pats fans. :D

Re: How about U2 at halftime.... (Chuck Sangerhausen)
To be honest I was surprised that the Pats were able to pull it off; we have been conditioned for the past 40-odd years. If you looked at their stats all year long you would notice that they didn't seem very good.....clearly stats don't tell the whole story. :D
We are so used to the "almost nearly, but not quite hardly" syndrome with the Pats...it even looked that way again with the foolish and obvious holding violation.
Its interesting that Brady's stats never looked that good either, but that last drive was.....well, inspiring.
Actually, as an event you really couldn't have asked for more....the pregame and half time shows were very good, not too long and not too 'Hollywood.' The game ended at the last second (a sponsor's delight), the underdog won, and with the team's name.......enough said?
