Guys, I am considering buying a Haulmark enclosed trailer, and am looking for comments on their trailers - good or bad. I am probably going to buy either an 18ft or 20 ft trailer, the thought being that either is large enough to haul a C1, and minimizing the trailer size will make an easier towing unit with my half ton truck. Comments?

A few feet makes very little difference in towing weight or difficulty but make a HUGE difference in storage space and utility. I'd make sure you have enough space, front and back, to move around the car rather than having it "fit like a glove". Error on the large side, not the small!! Some trailers have an option to have a front door or side door entrance. In my experience, the side door was more user friendly but it's a question of what you're doing with the trailer and taste.
Remember, when hauling a trailer, the most important capacity of your truck is NOT your engine, it's your brakes. Here in Canajun Land, there are provincial regulations as to how much weight a trailer can haul before surge brakes or electrical actuators are required. If you're unsure about the laws, check at the nearest roadside truck weigh-scales- they'll have the latest regulations.
For all of you who want the big humping V10 or Cummins TurboDiesel (like mine :D) remember this- it's nice to have lots of guts for running up hills, passing Porsche 911s and whatever you wanna do with your truck and trailer, but the first time you have to hammer on the brakes, you'd better hope you have enough capacity to bring it all to a halt. I've seen several crashes, including a fatal one, where people were hauling too heavy a load for their tow vehicle and the capacity of the motor was never a contributing factor in the crashes.
Bigger is better. I've towed some enclosed trailers, using Suburbans, but I don't own an enclosed trailer. Have a 16' open. Agree with Mac. You'll have a 3200 lb. car, a 3000 lb+ trailer, plus your "junk" in it. You could be towing 6500 to 7500 lbs in trailer alone, plus the stuff in your vehicle. You're at the "ragged edge" of towing capacity with your half ton, unless it's set up correctly. You need good brakes. Electric brakes on one or both axles is mandatory in my opinion. Pulling a trailer is easy, but, there is NOTHING worse than towing a trailer with an under-powered, under-equipped tow vehicle. Chuck

Geesh, Mac, if'n yer passin' Porsche 911s with that great big haulin' tow monster, then I'm thinkin' maybe the ZZ502 ain't gonna be enough for my '67. Can't have the tow vehicles pullin' by me now can I. What now, a 540 Merlin? :D

Yup, I think you should consider getting a twin turbo set-up for the ZZ502 to see if you can improve your top end.
