P/w has 3 wires on each side (driver and passenger) connecting to the motor. The pass side has a brown wire attached to the motor frame. My driver side is just lapping around. I looked in the AIM and shows it going to the body of the motor. But I cant tell where. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Mick,
Damn, talk about timing. Just came in from the garage from putting the pig tails in on the PW motors. ’69 no less. There is a tab screwed to the body of the motor. That is for the ground wire. Should be black. Other wires are “Up” and “Down” and go to the pig tail shown in [View B] on page J303 of the aim.
Took a look, can’t see where it clipped on. You can just ground it to the motor if you want, short of pulling the motor out. The motor will ground through the door frame to the body which is why ir works but a positive ground is better..
Thanks george. I'm wondering if both sides drivers and pass need to be grounded  because the pass is right to the motror just like you said. Thanks for looking.
