Default Confusion on part numbers

1967 Coupe roof weatherstrip (at door opening).

I researched them to be: left-#3852114 and right-#3852113.

A pair on eBay are listed as -#3832114 and #3832113. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eb...337149&r=0&t=0

And http://www.GM-RestorationParts.com lists them as #3823113 and #A2911R.

Huh?

The "A" part number sounds like an Eckler's repro #

I'm assuming you're talking about the long weatherstrip that glues on the door for a #19437 Coupe.
No Patrick. I'm talking about the weatherstrip (actually more like an almost rigid rubber-coated piece of metal) that is held to the roof with several screws, along the upper door opening.

I visited my friendly neighbourhood Chevy dealer this afternoon to check on the part numbers and got an edumecation!!!

Gave him the part numbers I got from the GM Parts book (circa 1977 Edition ) left-#3852114 and right-#3852113....he says, "Does not compute".

Gave him the numbers from the photo on eBay....#3832114 and #3832113....he says, "Does not compute".

Gave him the numbers from GM-Restoration.com...#A2911R and #3823113....he says, "Nope".

I says......."Huh?". He says, " "....I says, " "....Okay, I'll talk to the experts.

So, here I am again.....over to the experts..... :D

(NOTE: There is a point to all of this. We Canajuns can buy equivalent new cars and parts CHEAPER than you 'mericans!!! I'd prefer to buy from my friendly neighbourhood Chevy dealer, in Canada, rather than importing........if I could get the correct information...i.e. part numbers.)

How can we buy cheaper you may well ask?........I'll answer this important cultural and jurisdictional question later in this thread........that's if anyone has a :conehead to know. :D Lots cheaper in the case of high-end cars and trucks!!!

What is the ASM number and the Sheet Number at the bottom of that page.....pretty please!

Thanks Patrick. That page is G110 in my AIM

The third digit in the part number is VERY hard to decipher....could be a 3 or could be a 5. I take it that yours is clearly a 3.
