After a year and a half, i'm finally going to get paint on my 66 vert. Been a body off restoration, numbers match. How important is the accuracy of the color when it comes to it's value. The insides of the doors are painted and it's beautiful. Problem is, I think it's a bit dark for Nassua Blue. The painter said that was the formula that was given to him and my original color was faded. I'm not so sure How do I find out if this is the true shade, an does it matter if it's darker than the original.

It’s extremely important to have the correct shade of paint on the car. For judging reasons, re-sale / value reasons, and originality. Make sure it's right.

I figured as much, that's why I stopped them. I think the Nassau Blue they had was a later year. They've got the proper paint codes now, shouldn't be too much longer.
