Re: Finally have a rolling chassis... (Patrick Tighe)
Lookin good Patrick. Have you got a plan for attaching the front end?
As in, how are you going to hold it in place while the bonding sets up on the cowl ? Screws or some kinda jig?
Re: Finally have a rolling chassis... (Patrick Tighe)
I already posted this on another thread, but I think it deserves more airtime.
I dedicate this tune to Patrick T and his 67 PT Cruiser, I mean Roadster.
Chorus:
In the garage again,
Here I am in the garage again
Bustin' knuckles as I'm fixin' Bubba's sins
I can't wait to be on the road again
In the garage again,
Spending time with my ol' frame again
Tryin' hard to make it Top Flight like my friends
The leather's gone,
The vinyl's on again
In the garage again
The notches in my frame are for the sidepipes
Where they've always bin
I'll prove they're there,
If anyone cares to find them
They can find them
In the garage again
My wife says get in the garage again
She's not amused that there's a front end in the hall
I hid the shells
I hope I found them all
In the garage again
The Canajun geese are in the yard again
I left the ZO6 outside by the front door
It started black
It ain't so black no more
In the garage again
The 67's on it's wheels again
I pushed it outside in the sun to air it out
The geese are back
I have to go and shout!!!
Re: Finally have a rolling chassis... (Patrick Tighe)
Thanks Mac, that was awesome! :D I can tell by the lyrics that you are man who remembers details. Do you think you ever missed your calling to the music world?
Nah......he's a copper. They remember EVERYTHING!
But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun!
Heaven is in the east; sorely RonD and Mac, the west!
Those mousemen sick and pale with grief, forget
That envy doth not become; nay brethern, keep hope alive
Big blocks abound, search on and on.
See! how they lean their cheek upon their hands.
O! that I were there to console,
Nah......too bad, so sad!
[With apologies to you know who....but, hey, he's dead!]
Re: Finally have a rolling chassis... (Patrick Tighe)
Patrick,
Sounds like you have all the details worked out. I know what you mean about trial fitting. I must've checked and rechecked my front end a 100 times. I had to bond all the pieces of my 68 front end together.
