Default Recommended Publications?

I have just found a one owner, orig 73 coupe. I am looking for accurate, complete publications (with lots of pics) to get started cleaning up this car. There are no shortages of "how to' and "NCRS Black Book" type pubs, but if you had to pick two, which would they be and why?

THanks...

Two isn't going to do it. Here's what I consider the bare minimum:

1973 Corvette Owner's Manual
1973 Corvette Assembly Manual
NCRS 1973-74 Corvette Technical Info Manual & Judging Guide
Fact Book of the 1973-1977 Stingray by M.F.Dobbins
Corvette 1968-82 Restoration Guide by Richard Prince
1972 (or '74) GM Chassis Service Manual ('73 is out of print - look on eBay for it).

All of the above are available at the NCRS on-line store at www.ncrs.org.

There are many others, but those above will get you off to a good start; you can never have too many technical references for a 37-year-old car.

Excellent advice.

Dr. Dobbins' book is a great photo-reference.

He also has a volume covering the 68-72 cars.

That one could be put on hold. He won't be ready for PV for a while yet.

What makes you so sure, he's had over a year to work on that 73. The original post is from July 2010!
