A/C Heater Console Light

A/C Heater Console Light
On my 82 it seems as though the previous owner took out the light in the console above the A/C and heater controls. It looks as though the bulb has a carrier and the bulb. Does anyone know a source for this assembly or at least the carrier? if that is what is used and the bulb number? I've checked the normal places Dr. Rebuild, Covette America.

Try your local Chevy dealer, Don. Since 82 is fairly recent for old Corvettes, you may be surprised to find that GM still sells it. They won't have it in stock, but they may be able to order it for you. If they don't have it, then you're probably going to have to find it in the junk yard.

Thanks Chuck someone got me the number 2973932 and my local dealer has it instock. Believe it or not it even cost less than $2.00, man I didn't think any parts on either of my cars could be bought for under $10.00. :D

It doesn't surprise me that GM still sells it, but it really surprises me that your dealer had it in STOCK. Most dealers now operate on the bare bones inventory, "let the customer wait", "I can have it for you in a week" principle. :D :D
