I got it figured out
Now I'm not saying the the topics that are here aren't good or anything,
but the numbers are way down.
Then I started thinking...
See what happens when I'm left alone too long
Spring is here,,,
If my car were in need of someting, guess where I'd be...
Crawling under, over, inside, outside, getting parts etc, etc....
You got it...
Everywhere but here
It's in the air,,,, I can feel it...
We're all getting ready for.. SUNSHINE!!! :)
For those of you that are too far away in your project to make the road this year
I'm sure I speak for everyone here... I feel your pain.. :cry
Call one of us... we'll pick you up :)

I hear you, I've finally got the weather stripping , windows and all the hardware back in my doors. Other things that I need to finish are :
Interior dashes back together, Carpet and seats done.
New windshield, but I need to rechrome the pot metal corner brackets before I install windshield. I'm going to Orlando to visit my sister sometime this spring and while there, pay a visit to Quality Pot Metal Works.
Still looking for a outer lower grill bracket to finish the front grill area.
Get the wiper door system adjusted and working properly.
I might be on the road this summer.
In 1990, the 73 was stripped to glass, re-primered and re-done, but no undercarriage work was done. I drove her until 1998 when the various undercarriage woes were getting so extreme, it wasn't pleasant to drive. As I was under severe time constraint and not able to complete a body-off (which was required) in a timely mannor, I hired the job out to Ron D, our fellow Forum member.
Ron D pulled the body off frame for me in July 2001 and stripped her to componants which I then powdercoated. Then Ron put her back together with as much stainless steel as possible- I don't want to have to do this again for another 30 years.
The Vette's finally back from the body shop (long, long story) and Ron D has it again, doing a few interior touch-ups and his final "quality check" to make sure everything's buttoned down to his satisfaction. I had the pleasure of driving the car from the body shop back to Ron's shop- what a rush. I can't wait to get her back but I have to come up with a new name for her. She's so beautiful now, calling her "the Nuclear Banana" seems disrespectful.
I never thought about giving her a name
That could prove interesting...
You suppose I will get into any trouble doing that :blueangel:
I can almost hear it now :cuss :U
I think I will ponder that one awhile longer

The good part about doing the work yourself is the costs are less but sometimes that's not an option, so I had to work done this time. Maybe Mrs. Mac will appreciate how valuable my time is from now on.
