Default help with suppliers please

Well I have officially taken my car off the market (1966 B/B roadster)and have a few improvements I need to make this year.
I need to put on a new top.Mine has a frosted rear window and a small tear.We plan on putting on a new top, padding,re painting the top frame while off,and new weather strips on the top.I am using the fellow who did my seats to do the work. What brand do you you recomened for the top?
I purchased most of my restoration parts thru paragon reproductions.
I also need new side pipe covers mine look good from a distance but up close the have marks on them and some slight waves in the front I just noticed so I would like to replace them(the car is beutifull and deserves a nicer pair)Who has the best price and are they all the same?
Need to replace a scatter sheild and install a proper bell housing I will seek a used one and will hopefully find the correct # from all my restoration books. But while I am replacing the bellhousing i want to correct a slight oil leak that seems to come from the front of my M21 trans that does not seam to have a seal any advice is greatley apreciated Thank's again larry
Buy the way I was selling my car so I could buy a new C5 Convertable and I still plan on purchasing one I just have to find out how I am going to pay for it.I also have more cars then garage space and my wife said no more cars because she does not want to park out side any more. I have found a solution to the garage space problem.I plan on also raising the celing in my garage with a cathedral ceiling.(no building permit needed) and installing a 4 post lift.I belive I will be installing the eagle exstended height and length lift unless somebody can tell me why the others are better.

Buy the top and kit from Al Knoch. Nice stuff, and he can date code your rear window, if you so desire.

Side pipe covers....I "THINK" Paragon repro's them. You might save a few bucks by shopping the catalogs, but this might be a ND...no discount item.

I'm in the process of raising the roof for a lift. You might check my other threads, as I have a few pictures posted.

Can't help with the trans, other than to say I've had a new bearing and seal installed in my 63. I'm the "general contractor", in that I'll remove the trans, but I farm out the work, as I don't have the specialty tools or the knowledge to correctly tear into a trans. Chuck

Chuck I have been following your post and others on the lifts. Pretty scary about the one whos car fell off. Any input on what made you decide on the one you may be getting.Saftey is a major concern.Reliabilty, warrenty,I have no use for drive thru ramps or the casters to move the lift around, the jack holders make sence.the drip pans make sence. And i am also concerned that I can keep lift partually lowered and have the saftey locks engaged.I will be also installing a keyed electrical disconect switch so there would be no power at the lift motor until you turn the key on.No way to steel a car if its 5' off the ground and you have to raise it up to relase the saftey lock.I also feel the kid canot get hurt with the added saftey

IMO Al Knoch is the only way to go here.
I just pruchased two complete top kits from them, everything including tack strips, pads and weather strips Jobber cost was $410 with top itseld. I chose to powder coat the frame and was pleased to find that the pivot bushings were uneffected by the baking. More than worth the $200
Good Luck

The guy that owns the Stadium is a friend and owns a 65, triple white 396 / 425 convert, a 65 F.I. coupe both with KOs and sides , a 72 454 purchased from the Mark Martin collection and a 69 SB T Top. I have worked on all of them
Unless you get a jobber discount from Paragon, and few do, call knoch direct at 800-880-8080 ask for Dale, get a price and e mail me, I'll do what I can to set you up. also e mail me for side pipes, I know where there are several sets cheaper than most
jer

As others have said, Al Knoch for the top. He started out doing convertible tops and is still the best on them.

I agree with the recommendations of Al Knoch for the top etc. BTW, in case you haven't been this route before (I learned this lesson the HARD way), be sure to do all adjustments to your top frame for fit/side window sealing (with weatherstrip temporarily installed) prior to having the top materialnstalled. There's not much that can be done once the material is strectched/glued in place. Good luck!

You can spend hours...over several days, adjusting the windows to fit the "opening". There are many adjustments on the top frame itself, up/down, foreward/back, and "tilt". There are also a number of adjustments on the windows themselves. Chuck
