'67 Radiator Support Shims
On the front, bottom part of the frame are a stack of shims, on both sides, which the radiator support rests on. These shims are used to even up and support the fiberglass front end.

I think you'll find that everybody's shim count is different. I've seen some with a bunch on one side, and a very few on the other. I've also seen them equal. I've also been involved in changing core supports, and have found that often you have to chisel some shims out or add some to get the "new" support to fit. Hope this helps, and doesn't add to the dilemma. :) Chuck

Chuck's absolutely right.....when we took my coupe apart it had 2 on one side and 5 on the other (I think), but when we put it all back together it ended up with 4 and 3. The main issue is that everything line up, and I have got to say - that's where the magic is!
