68 lost ignition key

I recently acquired a 68 vette, with no ignition key or door key. Is the door key the same as the ignition key? Will the door tumbler have a code so I can have the ignition key made?

Unless the locks have been changed, the ignition and door lock cylinders originally used the same key; if you remove a door lock, the key code will be stamped on the cylinder, and a locksmith can cut you a key to match it.
