Lots of progess this weekend - as you can see via the photos, the rear of the car is complete. What you cannot see are details in the interior, like mouldings, head liner, and the like that really don't photograph well.
Re your headliner - did you use a restoration headliner or did you re-use your original headliner material? If you have any photo detail on the removal and install - I'm sure plenty of us coupe owners would like to see that.
I took a few shots, but to be honest they really didn't show much. Its a black interior and with a flash it got very contrasty, and without a flash I couldn't hold the camera steady enough.
Suffice it to say that it is a bigger job than I thought; lucky there was a professional to deal with it. In summary, taking it all out is relatively easy. All the trim pieces were then sanded and repainted. Pulling out the old headliner was also a snap; we decided not to reuse it as it was not a very good repro.
The trick in fitting the new one in is to have lots of hands to hold it while the pro looks it over and decides where to cut it down to fit. Then the next fun part starts - fitting the mouldings back in without scratching anything. The front and back were the most important to start with, then fitting each side up under the roof was tough, especially the little clip on the drivers side. Then all the others, making sure they fit well. Count on having to file a few holes in the mouldings as they will not fit in the same way before they were removed.
From my perspective go really slow and watch everything. Have lots of eyes and if possible a pro.
