Default What size engine is this?

I was told it was a 427 cu. in. engine but I'm not sure. Could someone please confirm?

Block casting # is 3869942 - dated C36

Head castings # is 3873858 - dated C36

Intake manifold # is 3866963

Is this a 427 cu. in. engine? If not what is it?

The 942 block was used for 66-67 427's, in both 2 and 4 bolt configurations, and in 390 and 425 horse versions.

The 858 heads are closed chamber, rectangular port heads; that were used on both 66-67 396/375 and 66-67 427/425 engines.

The 963 intake was used on 375 and 425 horse 65 396 engines.

From all of this, I would guess that you have a 66-67 427, possibly a 4 bolt 425 horse version, with a 65 396 intake.

Thanx for the info CB. That's what I found too but I'm not well versed in this area so I wasn't sure that I was correct.
