Canister Filter

My 67 has a spin on filter, I am thinking about installing a canister filter for flight judging. Any advise on how its done (hints or problems). Thanks

This is easy to do. I got the canister from Zip, about $70. Take off the "spin on" filter and then remove the adapter plate up inside, which is attached with two bolts. The canister with the big long bolt should thread up into the tapped block hole, which hopefully is not cross threaded. Be sure to put on the rubber O ring when installing the canister. :D

And don't forget to replace the spin-on adapter plate with the correct bypass valve assembly and gasket.

After removing the two bolts, does the spin on adapter come off easy or hard. I may do it tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys. Dick
