Convertable hardtop

Are the hardtops interchangeable through the years 68-75? My 71 came with the option but the hardtop is long gone. I want to replace it but I'm not sure if there is anything I should look for in particular for a 71.

Totally, there is a minor trim difference in the 68.

The '68 model hardtops did not have the chrome tips on the rear points like the '69-'75 did. Also the rear glass is dated so if you are concerned about being "correct", you may want to look for a matching date coded hardtop. :smash:

Which tops have the 3rd attachment point in the middle? I dont think they all do, but not sure. MJ

Mid year thru the '69 run if I recall also there are two different sizes of pins at the front headers. And I think that some bow clamps cam with rubber and some without. But all basically the same.

In late 69, they added the third pin in the back. I believe all the pins in the front are the same. The rear pins were of a different size in 68. Also, the front latches.....68 used an acorn design nut to lock the hardtop down. Later used rubber cushion covered pins. This would not affect the fit however. Chuck
