Probably. The NCRS allows a six month window for dates. Keep in mind the strike was on the horizon in the spring of 69.

Thanks Mike. My next concern is that it is a 42 amp generator and not the 61 amp called for in the shop manual and NCRS guide. The original owner doesn't remember ever changing it and I know I haven't in the last 35 years I've had the car. Is it possible to have a factory installed 42a generator on a 435 casr with TI?

I suppose anything is possible. If you are concerned with judging, go with the Judging Guide; otherwise how will you document your 42A is original?

Thnaks again Mike. I guess I'll try to locate a correctly numbered and dated generator. What would I use for a time frame? Engine block date? Body tag date?

Engine assembly date must predate the body assembly date. Engines were ordered in advance and on hand at St. Louis before the car started down the assembly line.
An alternator would have been ordered in advance of the body date. Use your time/build code as a reference for the alternator date.
