Big Block Values Dropping...
Got the Sept 02 issue of Corvette Fever and it has their annual price guide. Noted something interesting. Appears that the value of the big block option (except the high hp engines) are taking a big drop.
CF give a value for the base car and then seperate add on values for the engine options. For the C3 engine options they are showing a drop of 21% for the 68/69 427/390hp, -13% for the 70 454/390, -35% for the 71 454/365, -30% for the 72 454/270, and -21% for the 73/74 454.
The 68 427/400hp was up 12%, 68/69 427/435 (L71) up 17%, and 68/69 427/435 (L89) up 8%.
Looks as if some of the big block inflation is coming down.

I wouldnt pay to much credence to the CF values. What really counts is the buyer market as a whole

What I found more unusual was that the prices for ALL of the fuel injected engines also dropped. But, examine the numbers closely as it is obvious on many of the engine prices that they made boo boos in printing/proofing.
