could somebody please help me on restoring the front end of a 71. i wanted to know how it holds up?
Like Mac said, we need a lot more information to help you.
For example, "front end" could mean the front portion of the fiberglass body. In that case, the answer to your first question is: The frame holds up the front fiberglass. More accurately, the frame front cross member holds up the radiator support, which holds up the inner fenders. There are also some heavy bumper brackets and other reinforcement attached to the frame and frame cross member which support the front bumper and the very point of the nose.
"Front end" could also refer to the front suspension. If done properly with quality parts, it should "hold up" as well as the original. :D
