Default What L# (L71, 79, etc.) is My Engine

Can someone please tell me how I can find out what L# (L71,L79, etc.) the 427 engine in my 1968 Corvette is? The car also has a manual 4sp Muncie, if that helps.

Here are all the numbers I could find of the engine:

Back of engine: 3963512 (P)

Front Passenger Side: TO722LM and 19572S885

Thank You for your help: smash:

LM indicates a 1969 L-36. Take another look at the VIN derivative stamp. 19572S885 is probably 19S72 (5 or 8) 885. The 7 and everything after it are numbers.

3963512 is the block casting number, also for 1969.
