Anyone have a reference which translate them all for 1970?
Based on build sheets submitted to the registry:
GV2 = 3.08
GV4=3.36
GV5=3.36
GV7=3.55
GS4=3.70
I've also seen some references to 3.71 instead of 3.70 on the build sheets, but as you know, they are often difficult to read. What is the code for 4.11 & 4.56 and 2.73? Are there any other build sheet codes? ~Juliet
Thanks Barry, The only one I can't find is 3.55. Maybe you can just skim over those other pages and see if there's a code listed for it. Also, what is the name of the publication the above page scan is from? I would like to cite it on the registry website as the data source. http://corvetteforum.net/c3/1970registry/codes.html
Juliet, here is a scan of the cover.
I couldn't find the code for a 3:55 ratio.
I called a friend that works at a Chevy dealer and he thinks he has
some old order books at home that may have the code.
He said 3:55 ratio has been obsolete for quite some time now.
I'll give him a call at home tonight.
It's interesting, that those codes that I posted earlier are currently still used by GM when ordering a vehicle.

Juliet, I used Google to do a search and found this at the top of the list.
It's codes for a Camero. The axle codes are likely the same for a Corvette.
3:55 is listed as G96..
It's from car 04143. I'm pretty sure thats a GV7 for 3.55 axle ratio. That doesn't match the camaro data. I'll check the other codes to see if they match perhaps. ~Juliet
