I tried this on the C-3 board and didn't get any responses awhile ago so I am trying here.
Does anyone know the proper sequence to actually mount each of the small gauges i.e. temp water fuel so they don't ground out which I thinh is what is happening. Are the fiber pieces meant to keep them from grounding out?
Tom, I don't think there is any sequence. I had all my gagues out, replaced them, and did not pay any attention to the order. Disconnect the battery when R&R the gagues.
If you are talking about not grounding the wire going to the gauge as opposed to grounding the housing of the gauge to the car, then yes, you must make sure the wire only touches the center post and nothing else. I think the fibre washers are for that purpose.
