Default Corvette rear

I have found in Googling the numbers 3789812, that this is a Corvette posi rear. Right now it's in a 1955 Chevy 210 Delray. We paid $500 15 years ago. We would like to sell it. There is nothing wrong it. My question is, how much is it actually worth???

The 3789812 "P" case rear was used in 62 Corvettes, and 62-64 full size Chevrolet's.

Generally, they seem to be selling for anywhere from $500 to $800. The ones with a 3:55 or 3:70 ratio, are the most valuable, while ones with a 3:08, 4:11 or 4:56, are the least desirable, and toughest to sell.

Been looking for a correct dated Posi rear for awhile. What is the cast date? Should be located next to the tall skinny 'P'.
Thanks, Steve
