This fellow David Henze accepted payment for a tire from me that I found on this forum a few months ago. I have several internet exchanges with him but none recently. He has apoligized to me over the internet but never sent the tire or returned my money. He apparently graduated from the Air Force Academy in the early summer and was quite busy being assigned to an Air Force base. This guy is not the kind of person we need in this hobby. Just a heads up for future dealings.
Of all the random times for me to check FCR. I haven't checked in here in months...
And what an interesting thing to see as a post subject. And at this point, some people would get upset and blather on about how it's unfair that so-and-so posted this-and-that on the Forum.
But that's not me. I screwed up on this one, and let Dave Strickland down. I could give any number of excuses as to why, but I don't like excuses...and yes, I did graduate from the Academy, which is why I don't have a single problem with letting you all know from my side of the story that the screw up was mine and mine alone.
Everytime I open the closet that the tire is stored in, I feel bad about not having made the deal right yet, but it's something I'm not able to do yet, due to reasons I'd rather not get into over the Internet (they're personal, and have nothing to do with Dave Strickland).
Dave Strickland has been nothing but patient, and I will make it right...and if he doesn't feel that I have made it right when he receives the tire, well...he can let people know here. At this point, I deserve the chastising.

Rainman, my experience with Dave Strickland has been that his timing is exquisite, but beyond that, he's a top notch guy as you know. Send'm hiz tar.
David, its been a week since you made this long winded public apology. I still haven't heard from you about what you intend to do with "my" money or "my" tire. I will keep my thoughts private.
It is appropriate for me to provide an update of this situation. Last night David sent me an email relaying a UPS tracking number for the tire. It has taken a long time but David has fulfilled his obligation. I will excuse him for the delay and hope he is a lot more responsive on future transactions.
I wanted to bring a close to my earlier post about David. The tire arrived today and it was as good or better than described. I want to thank David for finally completing the arrangement we had made. Many would have forgotten. All is well that ends well.
