Figured this is a better place for this particular tire question (the wheel & tire section is all about 18" and up it seems)
My white stripe F70-15 Wide Ovals get a buff color on the sidewalls usually near the edge of the tread about 1" wide.. I can wipe it off with a cloth.. But if I go for a short drive it comes right back and I wipe it off again. Obviously its not dirt or dust but some kind of oxidation? I used to have a 69 Camaro SS with Polyglas GT tires and they would do the same thing. What is it?
