You're right- the texture looks off. It looks more like the 80's 'marbled' plastic surface than the older 'faux leather' look stuff. Having never seen a delete plate, I can't tell you whether this one is 'correct' but wrong year or ????
A wise man, who shall remain nameless, 'created' a radio delete plate from rigid cardboard, painted to the right colour and texture with a crossed flags emblem (colourjet printer) prominently displayed, for the purposes of getting "collector" vehicle plates in British Columbia where an aftermarket radio disqualified you. The powers-that-be never blinked and he got his plates. Sometimes bullpuckie baffles brains.
I'm not suggesting an NCRS judge would be fooled as easily but if you're going for collector plates, the eBay delete plate will most likely work so long as it fits.
Excellent! I haven't applied yet as I have a few details which need to be addressed before I can do so but it'll be happening sooner, not later. Any words of advice?
