Is this painted mark original?
I've got a 75 convertible with 12,300 original miles and was curious to know if this yellow paint mark is original on the smog pump.

Although I cannot definitively answer "yes or no" to your question, I have had a handful of stock C3 air-pumps over the years and distinctly remember them having various colors markings just like that! Yellow, blue, green, etc. My experience and somewhat educated guess would be "YES" that Yellow is from the factory! Sorry I can't point to a NCRS manual page # and tell you 100% for sure, but my $ is on a quick visual way for assembly line workers to identify the correct pump to grab at a glance or some similar reason!
