Can anyone here assist me in acquiring the correct numbers I need to type on my reproduction CVL. The car is a L-82,73 coupe with A/C and pwr. steering , 4-speed.
Those numbers (GVWR and both GAWR) aren't published anywhere; they were generated by computer based on the car and options; you'll have to get them from the VCL on a car similar to yours.
I have the use of a WEIGHTRONIX truck scale. My thought was to use this scale (which is +/- 2lbs accuracy) to weigh the front axle and then the rear axle and finally the entire car for the correct weights I seek. This will require me to put the rally's back on and have about 5 gal. of gas in the car when I do it.
I realize it is only a repro label, but I would like it to be a correct repro.

The numbers on the label are the Gross Capacity weight, not what the vehicle weighs.
Don't confuse the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) and the GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Ratings) with the actual weight of the car - that's not what they are. They're the maximum vehicle and individual front and rear axle weights the car is certified to carry and remain within the design limits of the suspension and tires. You want the numbers from the VCL for a car similar to yours, not what the car weighs.
