This may be a tough question, but I've always wondered about it. I figured if anyone could answer it, you guys could.
One of the C-3 paint colors (74 for one) was called "Millie Miglia Red"........does anybody have any idea where this name came from?
Thanks
The term Millie Miglia was an Italian race I believe and it stood for thousand mile race and since all Italian cars are red ;) IMHO that is where the term comes from.
The Millie Miglia is whats on my 74. There was also a Medium Red that year I believe.
I read a post somewhere once that said there were several C-3 years in a row (5 or 6 I think) in which there were no Vettes painted black. Not sure why.....maybe a heat issue?
I think it was becasue of low demand..
I dont have numbers for 69 production but 68 had only708 painted black so like any other year low demand and its droped
like the electron blue of 2002-2003 thats what my Z06 was painted and I loved that color but due to low demand it was droped and now black is one of the most popular colors
