75 REAR BUMPER
Which would be worse in NCRS judging an Ecklers urethane bumper without the letter indentations, or one of their trueflex bumpers,flexible fiberglass. My 75 has only 29000 miles and is 98% original, but, the rear urethane bumper seems to be getting more cracks daily. I am the original owner and would hate to put the wrong bumper on. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!!

Frank, have viewed your post here several times thinking of an answer. Number one, even if you did find an NOS '75 rear bumper, which I have seen, but they go any where from $2,000 and up and it's just not at all worth it!!! Even IF you'd get one, you're still buying an "OLD" bumper, although new, two years down the road after painting it and putting it on your car IT COULD STILL CRACK-hardly worth it!!! I ended up putting TrueFlex front and rear bumpers on my '75. It is not an NCRS car, but I do judge for NCRS and these TrueFlex bumpers really are not that big of a points deduction. The '75 TrueFlex does take some minor modification of some rear end areas, but it does have the letter indentations and looks very correct once installed. I have a very ORIGINAL '74 that soon it will also be needing bumpers and I'll go either TrueFlex or Eckler's "FlexFit".

Thanks Paul. I don't know if I will ever have it judged, but I just wanted it as correct as possible. I think I will go with Ecler's flex-fit.
