I'm doing it!
1) NCRS flights (what are the different flights)
2) Bloomington (what are the different levels)
3) Bowtie (what are the different levels)
My car is completely original except for some chrome gingerbread and intake and carb upgrade that I've added over the years.
Any input and links to the above organizations would be appreciated.

The Bowtie/Survivor route is very rigorous, and demands a car that is untouched/unrestored original, without replacement parts, hasn't been taken apart, hasn't had anything altered since the day it was built, still has original markings intact, etc. There aren't many of these.
The Flight/Gold route is for restored cars; Bloomington doesn't publish judging guidelines, but the NCRS does, for Flight Judging. Go to http://www.ncrs.org, click on the On-Line Store, and order (at a minimum) the following:
1. The NCRS Judging Reference Manual (the "white book") - tells you all about all the different categories of NCRS judging.
2. The NCRS Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide for your year car - tells you in complete detail exactly what every system and part in your car looked like when it was built - this is the "standard" against which the car will be judged.
3. The Assembly Instruction Manual for your year car.
Also suggest you join the NCRS (you can join on-line at the same site), then join your local chapter, where all the people, cars, events, restoration and judging experience, and technical help resides. Click the "Contacts" button at the NCRS site and that will give you the contact information and website address for your local chapter.
