on my tank sitcker or what is left of it on the upper left hand corner is
"Ident No" 823735 what does that mean :confused: that is about the only thing you can make out with naked eye. is there any better way to view it
and how many number sould be a dealer code mine has a 4 but looks like it should have 3

The "Ident Number" was assigned by St. Louis when they accepted the dealer order for production, long before the VIN number was assigned, and that number was used to track the order all the way through the production/shipping process. It also appears in the upper right-hand corner of the original window sticker (repro stickers don't have it). :thumbs:
